JAN 31ST CHINESE NEW YEAR OF THE HORSE

OUT OF THE EARTH, I SING FOR THEM.
A HORSE NATION, I SING FOR THEM.
OUT OF THE EARTH, I SING FOR THEM.
THE ANIMALS, I SING FOR THEM

'You have stars in your bones"...

 The small plot of ground
on which you were born
cannot be expected

to stay forever
the same
Earth changes,
and home becomes different
places

 You took flesh
from clay
but the clay
did not come
from just one
place.

To feel alive,
important, and safe,
know your own waters
and hills, but know
more

you have stars in your bones
and oceans
in blood

You have opposing
terrain in each eye.
You belong to the land
and sky of your first cry,
you belong to infinity.

THE BEST THINGS IN LIFE......

DO take time to smell the roses

Take more TIME OUT

Take time to inhale and exhale (take deep breaths)

Be aware of your surroundings

Smile more

Slow down...rushing only get's you more stressed

Stop thinking and start expressing..speak your mind even if your voice shakes

Listen to people who can help you, rather than those who can't

When did you last see a Sun rise?

When did you last see a rainbow?

Make this year the one where you become a better friend to your SELF

You are never too old to play Hop Scotch or jump in rain puddles

PLAY ANY TIME YOU ARE ABLE

DESIDERATA..GO PLACIDLY

Go placidly amid the noise and the haste, and remember what peace there is in silence.
As far as possible without surrender, be on good terms with all persons.
Speak your truth quietly and clearly;  and listen to others, even the dull and ignorant, they too have their story.
Avoid loud and aggressive persons, they are vexations to the spirit.
If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain and bitter;
four always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.

Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans.
keep interested in your career, however humble; it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.
Exercise caution in your business affairs; for the world is full of trickery.
But let this not blind you to what virtue there is; many persons strive for high ideals and everywhere life is full of heroism.

Be yourself.
Especially, do not feign affection.
Neither be critical about love; for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment  it is as perennial as the grass.

Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth.
Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with imaginings.
Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.
Beyond a wholesome discipline be gentle with yourself.

You are a child of the Universe, no less than the trees and the stars, you have a right to be here.
And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the Universe is unfolding as it should.

Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be,
and whatever your labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life
keep peace with your soul.
With all it's sham, drudgery and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be careful.
Strive to be happy

DO UNTO OTHERS.....

Red Dawn UK this past weekend

We seek a renewed stirring of life for the earth
We plead that what we are capable of doing is
not always what we ought to do.
We urge that all people now determine
that a wide untrammeled freedom shall remain
to testify that this generation has love for the next.
if we want to succeed in that, we might show, meanwhile,
a little more love for this one, and for each other.

Be in Bliss....always

In safety and in Bliss
May all creatures be of a blissful heart
Whatever breathing beings there may be
Frail or firm......long or big...short or small
Seen or unseen, dwelling far or near
Existing or yet seeking to exist
May all creatures be of a blissful heart

A Fragment

Blue Scrub Jay, on a Jushua Tree, Mojave Desert

As a violet's gentle eye
Gazes on the azure sky,
Until it's hue grows like what it beholds;
As a grey and empty mist
Lies like solid Amethyst,
Over the western mountain it enfolds,
When the sunset sleeps
Upon it's snow.

As a strain of sweetest sound
Wraps itself the wind around,
Until the voiceless wind be music too;
As aught dark, vain and dull,
Basking in what is beautiful,
Is full of light and love.

Percy Bysshe Shelley
