Salutation to the Dawn..thought for every morning

Listen to the salutation to the dawn,
Look to this day for it is life, the very life of life,
In its brief course lie all the verities and realities of our existence.

The bliss of growth, the splendour of beauty,
For yesterday is but a dream and tomorrow only a vision,
But today well spent makes every yesterday a dream of happiness
and tomorrow a vision of hope.
Look well therefore to this day.
Such is the salutation to the dawn.

Thanks Giving..DANCING WITH JOY

O Holy One, I ran through the fields and gathered flowers of a
thousand colors--
And now I pour them out at Your feet.
Their beauty and their brightness shout for joy in Your Presence.
You created the flowers in the fields and made each one far more lovely
than all the skill of man could design.
Accept my joy along with theirs,
this field of blossoms at Your feet.
Holy One
as the wind blows through these flowers
till they dance in ecstasy of creation,
send Your Spirit to blow through my being
till I too bloom and dance with the fullness of Your Life.

Gratitude..Giving Thanks..... After a Mohawk Prayer

Gratitude to Mother Earth, sailing through night and day---
and to her soil, rich, rare, and sweet
in our minds so be it

Gratitude to Plants, the sun-facing light-changing leaf
and fine root-hairs, standing still through wind
and rain, their dance is in the flowing spiral grain
in our minds so be it

Gratitude to Air, bearing the soaring Swift and the silent
Owl at dawn. Breath of our song
clear spirit breeze
in our minds so be it

Gratitude to Wild Beings, our brothers, teaching secrets,
freedoms, and ways, who share with us their milk,
self-complete, brave, and aware
in our minds so be it

Gratitude to Water, clouds, lakes, rivers, glaciers,
holding or releasing, streaming through all
our bodies salty seas
in our minds so be it

Gratitude to the Sun: blinding, pulsing light through
trunks of trees, through mists, warming caves where
bears and snakes sleep--he who wakes us--
in our minds so be it

 Gratitude to the Great Sky
who holds billions of stars-- and goes yet beyond that--
beyond all powers, and thoughts
and yet is within us--
Grandfather Space
The Mind is his Wife.

so be it

MORNING HAS BROKEN

DAWN BREAKS OVER JOSHUA TREE NATIONAL PARK, CA.

Morning has broken, like the first morning,
Blackbird has spoken like the first bird.
Praise for the singing! Praise for the morning!
Praise for them springing fresh from the World.

Sweet the rain's new fall sunlit from heaven,
Like the first dewfall on the first grass.
Praise for  the sweetness of the wet garden,
Sprung in completeness where His feet pass.

Mine is the sunlight! Mine is the morning!
Born of the one light Eden saw play.
Praise with elation, praise every morning,
God's recreation of the new day!

PRAYER TO THE SUN GOD

DAWN OVER STA MONICA BAY, CA

Now this day, my Sun Father,
Now that you have come out standing
To your sacred place.

That from which we draw the waters of life
Prayer meal---
Here I give unto you.

Your long life,
Your old age,
Your waters,
Your seeds,
Your riches,
Your power,
Your strong spirit.
Or all these, to me may you grant.

LET THE CLOUD PEOPLE BRING US MORE RAIN

White floating clouds,
Clouds like the plains,
Come and water the earth.
Sun embrace the earth
that she may be fruitful.
Moon, lion of the north,
Bear of the west,
Badger of the south,
Wolf of the east,
Eagle of the heavens,
Shrew of the earth,
Elder war hero,
Intercede with the cloud people for us
That they may water the earth.

we are ALL Friends

Scrub Blue Jay, Mojave Desert

O God, scatterer of ignorance and darkness,
grant me your strength.
May all beings regard me with the eye of a friend,
and I all beings!
With the eye of a friend may each single being
regard all others!

Healing the Whole..get out of your head

When we get out of the glass bottles of our ego,
and when we escape like squirrels turning in the cages of our personality
and get into the forests again,
we shall shiver with cold and fright
but things will happen to us
so that we don't know ourselves.

Cool, unlying life will rush in ,
and passion will make our bodies taut with power,
we shall stamp our feet with new power
and old things will fall down,
we shall laugh, and institutions will curl up like
 burnt paper.

For the People of the Philippines

Let us be united,
Let us speak in harmony,
Let our minds apprehend alike.
Common be our prayer,
Common be the end of our assembly,
Common be our resolution,
Common be our deliberations.
Alike be our feelings,
Unified be our hearts,
Common be our intentions,
Perfect be our unity.

Veterans Day USA O Beautiful America

O beautiful for spacious Skies,
For amber waves of grain,
For purple mountains' Majesty
Above the fruited plain.
America, America,
God shed his grace on thee
And crown thy good with brotherhood
From sea to shining sea.

For Rememberance Day in UK

The Soldier

If I should die, think only this of me:
That there's some corner of a foreign field
That is for ever England. There shall be
In that rich earth a richer dust concealed;
A dust whom England bore, shaped, made aware,
Gave, once, her flowers to love, her ways to roam,
A body of England's, breathing English air,
Washed by the rivers, blest by suns of home.

And think, this heart, all evil shed away,
A pulse in the eternal mind, no less
Gives somewhere back the thoughts by England
given;
Her sights and sounds; dreams happy as her day;
And laughter, learnt of friends; and gentleness,
In hearts at peace, under an English heaven

Thought for the week..Let Your Heart SOAR

The beauty of the Trees,
the softness of the air,
the fragrance of the grass,
speaks to me.

The summit of the mountain,
the thunder of the sky.
the rhythm of the sea,
speaks to me.

The faintness of the stars,
the freshness of the morning,
the dewdrop on the flower,
 speaks to me.

The strength of fire,
the taste of salmon,
the trail of the sun, and the life that never goes away,
 they speak to me.

And my heart soars.

NEW MOON FEB 4th 2019 MONEY/PROSPERITY SPELL with good intentions

Tonight put a bag or envelope containing some silver coins, (it is not the amount that is important but the INTENTION is) on  a SOUTH FACING WINDOW SILL, then :
On the night of the New Moon (Monday Feb 4th)

Look up at the first sliver of the Moon,
Maybe burn some incense (Jasmine is good) and say

Kindly Moon,
As you grow,
See great riches my way flow.
Watching Moon, more and more money
And good fortune,
Comes in through my door. "

Place the money under your doormat (outside preferred) and leave it there until the Full Moon.

On the Full Moon remove the money from under the mat and keep in a safe place until you need to do the spell again, on a New Moon.

THIS should BE DONE ONCE ANY DAY AFTER THE NEW MOON HAS RISEN.  EVERY MONTH.

A coat of many colors...Embrace the day..Thought for today

O our mother the earth, O our father the sky,
Your children are we, and with tired backs
We bring you gifts that you love.
Then weave for us a garment of brightness,
May the warp be the white light of morning.

May the weft be the red light of evening

May the fringes be the falling rain,

May the border be the standing rainbow.
Thus weave for us a garment of brightness
That we may walk fittingly where the grass is green,
O our mother the earth, O our father the sky.

LISTEN to the wind, talk to nature..THOUGHT FOR TODAY

Listen to the air.
you can hear it, feel it,

smell it, taste it.
Woniya wakan, the holy air,
which renews all by its breath.
Wonya wakan, spirit life, breath, renewal.
It means all that.
We sit together, don't touch,
but something is there,
we feel it between us,
as a presence.
A good way to start thinking about nature,
talk about it.
Rather talk to it,
talk to the rivers, to the lakes,
to the winds,
as to our relatives.

PRAYER FOR THE WEB AND THE PEOPLE ON IT

Ho, Wiyopeyata ouye, power of the setting sun we call on you
Have pity on us that the people may live.
Wakinya, thunder beings of the black west, we call on you
who ride the black minne wichoni, the life-giving rains.
For long years , the way of the people has been weak and
there has been fear. Many have said that the red road would
disappear and that the six powers and Wakan Tanka would turn
their faces from us.
It is true that many of the old ways have been lost. But
just as the life-giving rains restore the earth after the drought ,
so your power will restore the Way and give it new life.
We ask this not only for the red people but for all
the people that they may live. In ignorance and carelessness they have walked upon Ina Maka, our Mother. They did not understand
that they are part of all beings, the four-legged, the winged,
grandfather rock, the tree people, and our star brothers. Now the
earth and all our relations are crying out. They cry for the help
of all people.
